We are a wellness and lifestyle brand about hydration. We collect as little as possible. The main thing we collect is your email address, and only when you choose to give it to us so we can send you the Weekly Sip and your welcome gift. We never sell your data. You can unsubscribe at any time.

What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the Weekly Sip newsletter or to receive the free welcome gift. This is the only personal detail we ask you for.
- Basic usage data, like the pages you visit and the type of device you use, collected in a way that respects your privacy so we can understand what is useful and keep the site working. This does not identify you by name.
- Cookies and similar storage. See our Cookie policy for the details.
We do not ask for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, or any health information to use this site. Please do not send us sensitive personal or medical details by email.
How we use it
- To send you the Weekly Sip newsletter and the free recipes you asked for.
- To reply to you if you contact us.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.
- To keep the site safe and working properly.
We rely on your consent (when you sign up) and on our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. We will only email you marketing if you opted in. Every marketing email includes our postal mailing address and a one-click unsubscribe link, so you can leave at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use a small number of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf, under contract:
- Kit (kit.com, formerly ConvertKit), which manages our email list and sends the newsletter.
- Resend (resend.com), which sends your welcome email and the recipes.
- Vercel (vercel.com), which hosts the website and provides analytics that respect your privacy.
- Sanity (sanity.io), which stores our articles and recipes (this does not hold your data).
These providers may store data outside your country. Where that happens, we rely on the legal safeguards each provider has in place for moving data between countries.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active list, keeping only what we must to honor your opt-out and meet legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe any time using the link at the bottom of any email.
- Ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@hydrationbarmd.com.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your data, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We honor these requests. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decisions about you.
Children
This site is meant for adults. It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information. No method of storing or sending data is ever 100% secure, but we work to keep your information safe.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last reviewed" date on this page. Big changes will be noted clearly.
